Job Responsibilities

• Own the MES roadmap, governance, budget, vendor relationships, and application support model across manufacturing sites.
• Lead MES implementation, deployment, rollout, enhancement, upgrade, and lifecycle management projects across production facilities.
• Manage and support IBM SiView MES, including production tracking, dispatching, WIP control, electronic work instructions, genealogy, lot traceability, equipment integration, reporting, and related functionality.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT teams to translate business and operational requirements into effective MES solutions.
• Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, problem resolution, and service-level performance for production-critical MES applications.
• Ensure MES solutions and controls meet quality, regulatory, audit, cybersecurity, data integrity, and traceability requirements.
• Drive MES modernization initiatives, including IBM SiView upgrades, integration improvements, legacy system replacement, migration, and cutover planning.
• Manage system integrations and interfaces between MES, ERP, equipment, databases, middleware, and other manufacturing or enterprise systems.
• Oversee MES application performance, system reliability, data accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage external vendors and technology partners, including service delivery, technical support, project execution, and performance management.
• Lead technical and cross-functional teams involved in MES projects, application support, enhancements, and manufacturing digitalization initiatives.
• Establish and maintain MES standards, documentation, processes, and governance across manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing systems, industrial IT, manufacturing digitalization, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading MES projects, technical teams, vendors, or application support functions.
• Hands-on experience with IBM SiView MES, preferably in a live production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MES implementation, configuration, integration, support, upgrades, and migration or modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, traceability, genealogy, WIP management, and shop-floor operations.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, reporting tools, APIs, middleware, message queues, or system integration technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing production-critical applications, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and service-level performance.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and IT.
• Strong project management, vendor management, change management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience with legacy MES replacement, data migration, system cutover, or MES modernization is preferred.
• PMP, ITIL, Agile, Scrum, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and, where applicable, the local manufacturing-site language.
