About Astria
At Astria Consulting, we look after the numbers behind some of Singapore's most ambitious businesses, from fast-growing startups to fund managers, family offices, and multinationals. More than 800 clients trust us with the parts of their business they cannot afford to get wrong, and we handle over 2,000 transactions a year with a team that genuinely enjoys this work.
We are precise, we are a little obsessed with getting the details right, and we believe good accounting is quietly one of the most important jobs there is. If you nodded at that, keep reading.
The Role
This is a role for someone who feels real satisfaction when a reconciliation balances to the cent. You will support accurate financial reporting, investment accounting, and regulatory compliance across our portfolio, working closely with our Chief Accounting Officer and the wider finance team to deliver reporting that is both timely and spot on. Your work goes straight to the heart of how our clients understand their own businesses.
What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports, including reports required under new or updated regulations
- Record journal entries accurately in the accounting system
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including liaising with vendors and stakeholders, and investigating/correcting discrepancies
- Perform investment accounting activities, including recording investment transactions, income, expenses, and related adjustments
- Maintain accurate investment accounting records and supporting schedules
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial information and group reporting packages (consolidation reports, schedules, intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries)
- Prepare and submit GST reports in accordance with IRAS regulations
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
- Draft financial statements and related notes in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Assist with the preparation and submission of financial statements in XBRL format
- Ensure accounting activities comply with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Accounting / ACCA / CPA or equivalent qualification recognised by ISCA
- At least 1-2 years of accounting experience in a medium-size accounting firm (for Senior Associate level)
- Experience with accounting software, consolidation tools, XBRL software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous and careful approach to work
Close but not a perfect match? Send in your application anyway. If you are meticulous, eager to learn, and care about getting things right, we would still love to hear from you.
Why Work With Us?
Beyond being a respected and fast-growing firm with a team that takes the work seriously and each other lightly, people who join us enjoy:
- A genuinely varied portfolio, startups, MNCs, funds, family offices, and listed companies, so you learn far more than a single-industry role could ever teach
- Real technical depth from day one: consolidation, investment accounting, XBRL, GST, and group reporting, not just data entry
- Senior mentorship, because our model puts experienced people alongside you, not above you
- Modern, tech-enabled ways of working, so you spend less time on grunt work and more on real accounting
- A clear path to grow, from Associate to Senior Associate and beyond, with development aligned to your ACCA, CPA, or ISCA journey
