Summary:

• Location: East
• Salary: $6000 + AWS + VB
• 5 days / Office Hours

Responsibilities:

• Track and analyze vessel operating costs (crew, maintenance, fuel, insurance, etc.) in detail by vessel, cost item, and status, ensuring accurate standard daily costs and explaining variances between standard and actual figures.

• Conduct monthly reviews of purchase orders, backlog, and variation orders with operational teams, and produce clear financial analyses to support decision-making.

• Act as a business partner by challenging operational teams on financial performance and providing credible, solution-oriented support.

• Contribute to monthly closing by working with accounting on accruals and provisions, ensuring accurate and reliable reported figures that comply with cost management standards.

• Lead vessel budget preparation with operational departments, ensuring accurate cost allocation and flagging exceptional expenses or budget risks.

• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing standard cost accuracy and contributing to better tools, reporting, and processes.
