Role Description This AS400 Developer role is a contract position based on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The developer will design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform, including coding, testing, and debugging programs to support business operations. Daily responsibilities include analyzing technical requirements, creating and modifying back-end components, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity and system reliability. The role involves collaborating with business analysts and other developers, preparing technical documentation, and providing support for production issues and enhancements. The AS400 Developer is expected to follow best practices, meet project timelines, and adhere to organizational quality standards.

AS/400 Developer (Payments & Loans)

Experience: 5-10 Years

Domain: Banking - Payments & Loans is mandatory

Requirements

• 5-10 years of AS/400 (IBM i) development experience.
• Strong skills in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, SQLRPGLE, and DB2.
• Banking experience in Payments and Loans is mandatory.
• Experience with system integration, APIs, MQ, and batch processing.
• Good understanding of SDLC and production support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Core Banking.
• Knowledge of SWIFT, ISO20022, Remittance, and Core Banking operations.
• Exposure to regulatory and compliance-related banking projects.
