Major Duties & Accountabilities:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
Own the commercial and strategic direction of assigned accounts, developing account plans that align customer objectives with the Company's growth and profitability targets.
Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to grow revenue and margin — expanding scope of services, cross-selling and up-selling solutions, and winning incremental volume across the customer's network.
Lead the pricing and proposal process for RFQs, RFPs, and contract renewals, partnering with Pricing, Operations, and Finance to build competitive and profitable commercial offers.
Track competitor activity, market rates, and industry trends to inform account strategy and surface new business opportunities within existing and adjacent accounts.
Cost Efficiency & Margin Management
Identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving initiatives and best practices across the supply chain — routing and mode optimisation, consolidation, vendor and carrier negotiation, and process efficiency — to protect and improve margin for both the Company and the customer.
Monitor account profitability and P&L performance, diagnosing underperforming accounts and leading corrective action, including rate and service-term renegotiation where required.
Champion a continuous-improvement culture, benchmarking service delivery and cost structures against best practice and industry standards.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the dedicated commercial point of contact for customers, building and maintaining senior-level, trust-based relationships and positioning the Company as a strategic partner rather than a transactional vendor.
Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with customers and internal stakeholders, translating performance data and market insight into actionable growth and savings plans.
Direct cross-functional teams — operations, documentation, Key Account Logistics (KAL), and origin offices — to ensure SOPs are followed, service levels are met, and areas of concern are addressed proactively.
Prepare and present account plans, forecasts, and commercial performance reviews to senior management.
Negotiate contracts, rate agreements, and service level agreements in line with the Company's commercial policy and risk appetite.
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
5–7+ years of commercial, account management, or business development experience within logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or a related industry, including a demonstrated track record of growing account revenue and margin and delivering measurable cost-saving initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to read, interpret, and act on account P&L and profitability data.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience engaging senior and C-level customer contacts.
Strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, practical understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
Strong analytical and systems skills, including advanced Excel; experience with CRM or BI tools is an asset.
Strong command of written and spoken English; fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset.
Personal Attributes
Mature, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented, with a positive, confident approach to problem-solving.
Strong communicator with a global mindset and respect for diverse cultures, able to embrace and adapt to change with a positive attitude.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for driving commercial value, strong customer instincts, and a willingness to travel within the region and internationally as needed.
