MAIN PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing all Logistics, Shipping and Supply Chain Management functions, including import and export activities, repair and re-import shipments, Customs clearance, duties and taxes, and related documentation.

CORE COMPETENCIES/ TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Customs regulations and procedures relating to import, export, re-import and Customs clearance.
• Practical experience dealing directly with Royal Malaysian Customs Department on import/export matters, including Customs declarations, duties, taxes and exemptions where applicable.
• Experience in managing export and re-import of parts/equipment for repair, including the associated Customs requirements and documentation.
• Good knowledge of shipping and freight forwarding processes and regulations.
• Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain management processes.
• Exposure on store and stock inventory management
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organisational and inter-personal skills
• Well organised with ability to work with minimum supervision
• Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirement

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain or a similar role, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, MRO or industrial environment.
• Proven experience in Malaysian Customs clearance and import/export activities is essential.
• Experience in handling temporary import/export or repair-and-return shipments will be an advantage.
• Experience dealing with Royal Malaysian Customs Department and/or Customs agents.
• Good understanding of QHSE documentation and processes
• Diploma/Degree in any discipline or equivalent would be advantageous
