Job Description

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced production professional with strong hands-on exposure in Box Build and Assembly operations? Do you enjoy leading production teams, solving shop-floor challenges, and driving improvements in productivity, quality, and delivery?

We are looking for a Production Supervisor – Box Build & Assembly to lead daily production activities and ensure customer requirements, production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved.

What You'll Do

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily Box Build and Assembly operations while managing manpower, production performance, quality, and continuous improvement activities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervise daily Box Build and Assembly production activities to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Lead production operators and line leaders, including manpower allocation and daily work assignments.
  • Plan and coordinate production activities according to customer requirements, production schedules, and available resources.
  • Monitor production output, efficiency, downtime, quality performance, and manpower utilization.
  • Ensure assembly processes are performed according to approved SOPs, work instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and production problems and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure defects, rework, and process abnormalities are properly controlled.
  • Conduct daily production briefings covering targets, priorities, quality concerns, and safety requirements.
  • Train and coach operators on assembly procedures, quality standards, ESD requirements, and safe working practices.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production line setup, process changes, and engineering builds.
  • Review and improve assembly processes to increase productivity, reduce defects, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure sufficient material availability and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent production interruptions.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, reports, attendance records, and KPI tracking.
  • Maintain and enforce 5S, safety, ESD, and housekeeping standards within the production area.
  • Investigate production and quality issues using root-cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, manpower requirements, scrap, and rework.
  • Ensure employees comply with company policies, production procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Perform any other production-related duties assigned by management.

What We're Looking For Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and strong manufacturing experience may also be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Hands-on experience in Box Build, Assembly, or electronics manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing production operators, line leaders, manpower allocation, and daily production activities.
  • Experience supporting NPI, engineering builds, or multiple production models is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Box Build and Assembly production processes.
  • Production planning, manpower allocation, and capacity planning.
  • Line balancing and production efficiency improvement.
  • Quality, defect, rework, and process abnormality management.
  • Root-cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Knowledge of 5S, ESD, workplace safety, and manufacturing quality requirements.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong people management, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with ERP or production monitoring systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond effectively to changing production priorities.
