Role Description The IMS Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring compliance with relevant standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating documentation updates, monitoring process adherence, organizing internal audits, and supporting corrective and preventive actions. The IMS Coordinator works closely with project teams and management to gather data, prepare reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, and environmental processes. The role also involves conducting training or briefings to help staff understand and implement IMS procedures consistently.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Integrated Management Systems related to quality, safety, and environmental standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Experience in documentation control, process mapping, and preparing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Skills in internal auditing, risk assessment, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and using office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, quality management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the construction industry or in a similar IMS, QA/QC, or HSE coordination role is an advantage.
