Position Summary
We are looking for an experiencedSenior Accountant to support the Finance Manager and independently manage theday-to-day accounting operations and technical accounting functions for ourSingapore entities with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will takeownership of full set accounting, monthly, quarterly and year-end closing,statutory reporting, external audit and tax coordination, while supervising oneAccount Executive responsible for routine accounting activities (AP/AR/GL).
This role will also play an activerole in group accounting and consolidation, including group reporting,intercompany reconciliations, preparation of or support for consolidatedfinancial statements, finance process improvement and the migration of financefunctions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
Take ownership of full set accounting for Singapore entities
Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
Review journals, reconciliations and financial reports
Ensure compliance with SFRS/IFRS and company accounting policies
Supervision
Supervise one Account Executive responsible for AP, AR, and general bookkeeping
Review accounting entries and reconciliations
Provide coaching and technical guidance
Improve accounting accuracy and efficiency
Audit & Tax
Coordinate external audit
Prepare audit schedules
Support corporate tax and GST compliance
Liaise with external auditors and tax agents
Group Finance
Prepare group reporting packages and support group-level closing
Prepare and/or support consolidated financial statements
Manage intercompany reconciliations and support consolidation adjustments
Support accounting and financial reporting for subsidiaries
Finance Projects
Support migration of accounting functions from Korea headquarters to Singapore
Develop accounting policies and SOPs
Strengthen internal controls
Participate in finance process improvement initiatives
Business Partnering
Support the Finance/Accounting Manager in regional finance projects
Communicate with Korea Headquarters
Participate in ad hoc projects and management reporting
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Candidates with strong relevant accounting experience are welcome to apply.
8–10 years of accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Solid experience leading monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing
Experience supervising junior accounting staff
Hands-on experience in statutory audit and corporate tax/GST coordination
Experience in group reporting and preparation of, or support for, consolidated financial statements
Good knowledge of SFRS/IFRS
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Dynamics etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
ACCA / Singapore CA / CPA Australia or equivalent
Experience in trading or inventory accounting
Experience working with regional operations
Korean language ability is an advantage (to communicate with HQ in Korea)
