Technical Service Representative (Chemistry)

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Service Representative (Chemistry) to provide technical and analytical support to customers within the Oil & Gas industry. The role involves conducting chemical and water quality testing, monitoring treatment programmes, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring accurate service reporting at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical, water quality and analytical testing at customer sites.
• Collect, analyse and record samples and test results accurately.
• Monitor chemical treatment programmes and ensure proper chemical dosing and inventory levels.
• Assist in monitoring the performance of water treatment systems, including cooling towers, boilers and related equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic technical or chemical treatment issues and escalate where necessary.
• Install, calibrate and maintain chemical feed and monitoring equipment.
• Prepare accurate service reports, test results and technical documentation.
• Support the implementation and start-up of new chemical treatment applications.
• Work closely with Sales Representatives and internal technical teams to meet customer requirements.
• Follow all required safety, environmental and operational procedures while working at customer sites.
• Travel to customer locations as required for service and technical support.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical/chemical testing, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in laboratory analysis, water testing or chemical treatment is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial water treatment, cooling towers, boilers or chillers will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and interact professionally with customers.
• Valid driving licence and willing to travel to customer sites.
• Safety-conscious and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
