Job Summary:
The Assistant to the Financial Controller plays a key supporting role in the finance function by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. This position works closely with the Financial Controller to support financial reporting, operational accounting, and compliance, while contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to the Financial Controller in managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all ledger balances are accurate and up to date.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with established timelines.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Prepare schedules, reports, and documentation to facilitate internal and external audits.
- Maintain systematic and well-organized financial records and documentation.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience; fresh graduates with strong academic results are encouraged to apply.
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
- Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively.

- Exposure to audit processes and financial compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and statutory reporting.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
