Responsibilities
About the role
Lead complex automation projects, taking technical ownership from design through completion. Design and develop Siemens S************* / TIA Portal control systems, develop control philosophy, sequences, interlocks and permissives, and integrate VSDs, instrumentation, PLC and industrial networks. Troubleshoot complex PLC, control and communication problems and lead FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop Siemens S************* / TIA Portal control systems
Develop control philosophy, sequences, interlocks and permissives
Integrate VSDs, instrumentation, PLC and industrial networks
Troubleshoot complex PLC, control and communication problems
Lead FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
Develop reusable PLC function blocks and engineering libraries
Improve programming methodology and control standards
Review engineering work and ensure consistent quality
Mentor and coach junior and intermediate engineers
Evaluate where AI can assist PLC development, testing and documentation
About you
Strong PLC and control engineering fundamentals
Practical experience with PLC architecture
Experience with sequential / state-based control
Experience with interlocks & permissives
Experience with PID / process control
Experience with motor & VSD control
Experience with instrumentation
Profinet / industrial networking experience
FAT / SAT experience
Commissioning & troubleshooting experience
