JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, executing, and supporting engineering projects related to moulding operations. This role involves the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of moulding processes to ensure optimal performance, product quality, and operational efficiency.
The engineer coordinates tooling, equipment setup, and project activities, ensuring successful execution from product design and development through pilot runs and mass production. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering, the role ensures project objectives are achieved within established quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
Additionally, the engineer identifies and implements process optimization initiatives, cost reduction opportunities, and productivity improvements while maintaining product integrity, compliance, and customer requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary coordinator between customers and internal departments to ensure effective communication and project execution.
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updating of the system Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Consolidate and evaluate customer feedback related to product requirements, testing issues, tooling concerns, and measurement discrepancies, and coordinate appropriate actions with customers and the team.
- Manage and monitor NPI project schedules to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on time
- Prepare and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) as required to support product and process changes
- Provide technical support and engineering solutions to customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare testing quotations for customers, follow up on purchase order (PO) approvals, and ensure timely completion and delivery of testing services.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth project implementation and successful product launches.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement activities.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Possess at least a Diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in project engineering, moulding, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer systems.
- Able to work independently with a proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and project coordination abilities, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Pay: RM2,004.05 - RM6,740.84 per month
