Senior HR Executive

Car Medic Sdn. Bhd.

Car Medic is looking for an experienced, practical and hands-on Senior HR Executive to lead and manage our Human Resources function.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable balancing strategic HR responsibilities with hands-on HR operations and working closely with Management, Heads of Department and employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Senior HR Executive, you will be responsible for the overall management and effectiveness of the HR function, including:

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of HR operations across the employee lifecycle
• Manage manpower planning and end-to-end recruitment activities
• Oversee employee onboarding, induction, probation and confirmation
• Ensure proper maintenance and confidentiality of employee records and personnel files
• Manage attendance, punctuality, leave and employee administration
• Oversee monthly payroll inputs, verification, statutory contributions and payroll-related employee changes
• Administer employee benefits, insurance, allowances and claims
• Drive the annual performance management process, including KPIs, performance reviews and Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)
• Ensure Job Descriptions are maintained and aligned with employee responsibilities and performance expectations
• Advise and support HODs on employee performance, conduct and people-management matters
• Manage employee counselling, grievances, complaints and disciplinary administration
• Coordinate investigations and escalate serious employee relations or Industrial Relations matters where appropriate
• Manage training and development initiatives, including training needs, annual training plans and HRD Corp matters
• Drive employee engagement, internal communication, town halls and employee welfare initiatives
• Manage resignations, exit processes, handovers and final HR clearance
• Maintain and review the Employee Handbook, HR policies, SOPs, templates and HR documentation
• Ensure compliance with applicable Malaysian employment legislation, statutory requirements and Company policies
• Prepare and present HR reports, headcount information, employee trends and HR action plans to Management
• Maintain effective HR trackers to ensure deadlines, employee matters and follow-up actions are properly monitored and closed
• Work closely with Management and the Company’s appointed HR/IR Consultant on complex employee relations, Industrial Relations and compliance matters

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate should have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in an HR Manager, Assistant HR Manager or senior HR generalist role
• Strong hands-on experience across HR operations and employee lifecycle management
• Good working knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR practices
• Experience in payroll coordination, attendance, leave and employee benefits administration
• Practical experience handling employee relations, counselling, performance and disciplinary matters
• Good understanding of recruitment, onboarding and performance management
• Strong HR documentation and record-management capabilities
• Ability to advise and work effectively with Management and Heads of Department
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the HR function
