Aleph-Labs Hiring! Full Time Jira Solution and Process Specialist in - Ricebowl

We are seeking a Jira Specialist to support the end-to-end delivery of the JIRA for Waterfall initiative, from current-state assessment and target design through prototype, production implementation, initial project onboarding and warranty support. This role will build on the work already completed and collaborate across delivery, SDLC, governance, testing, reporting and Jira administration teams to establish a practical, controlled and maintainable solution .

Key Responsibilities

• Review the existing design, configuration, stakeholder decisions, identified projects and adoption status, and determine what should be retained, modified, replaced or retired.
• Assess relevant Agile Jira components for reuse or adaptation and define the Waterfall issue structure, relationships, workflows, statuses, fields, screens, controls and minimum data standards.
• Align the solution with applicable SDLC phases, deliverables, reviews, approvals and assurance requirements, including appropriate traceability across Functional Specifications, Requirements, implementation activities, Test Cases, Defects and Change Requests.
• Define roles, permissions, approvals and segregation of duties, together with practical boards, filters, dashboards, reports, notifications, automation and data quality controls.
• Prepare implementation-ready configuration and deployment specifications, develop or coordinate the non-production prototype, validate representative Waterfall and hybrid scenarios, and resolve material defects.
• Coordinate implementation with authorised Jira administrators, verify the production configuration, and configure and onboard the agreed initial project or projects.
• Assess existing Waterfall Jira records and recommend any required mapping, remediation, migration or archival.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, design reviews and decisions, while maintaining clear records of requirements, assumptions, risks, dependencies, decisions and actions.
• Prepare concise user, administration, onboarding, training and support guidance, and define configuration ownership, governance, ongoing support and the wider rollout approach.
• Provide progress reporting, knowledge transfer, handover, early-life and warranty support, and maintain a prioritised backlog for any subsequent work.

Prerequisites

• Strong hands-on Jira solution design, configuration and production implementation capability across issue types, hierarchy, relationships, workflows, validators, fields, screens, schemes, roles, permissions, boards, filters, dashboards, notifications and automation.
• Practical knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery models, including SDLC phases, deliverables, stage gates, assurance checkpoints, testing and production-readiness controls.
• Proven ability to translate business, process, governance and reporting requirements into practical and maintainable Jira solutions.
• Sound knowledge of requirements management, traceability, Test Case and Defect processes, Change Requests, dependencies, milestones and integrated test-management capabilities.
• Ability to design operational, governance and portfolio reporting across different delivery methodologies, with appropriate auditability and data-quality controls.
• Strong process-analysis, documentation, stakeholder-management, facilitation and problem-solving skills, including effective engagement with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, control functions and technical administrators.
• Ability to deliver prototypes, coordinate controlled production implementation, support project onboarding and resolve early-life issues within centrally governed access and change arrangements.
• Ability to simplify complex requirements without weakening governance, traceability, control or maintainability.
• Banking, financial-services or other regulated-enterprise background is preferred.
