Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Solar O&M Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with basic experience who are interested in developing their technical skills in the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of solar PV systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and preventive maintenance for solar panels, inverters, cables, switchboards, and other PV system components.
• Monitor solar PV system performance through monitoring platforms and identify abnormal readings, faults, or performance issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical, inverter, communication, and system-related issues.
• Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities for solar PV systems.
• Assist in conducting system performance checks, including generation, inverter performance, and equipment condition.
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors, suppliers, and clients for maintenance, repair, and rectification works.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records, service reports, and other O&M documentation.
• Assist in analysing system performance data and identifying opportunities to improve solar energy generation and system efficiency.
• Ensure all O&M activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, electrical safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain proper records of equipment, spare parts, maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and power generation.
• Basic understanding of solar PV components such as modules, inverters, DC/AC systems, protection devices, and monitoring systems.
• Familiar with electrical testing equipment and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge or exposure to solar PV O&M, GCPV, electrical safety, or relevant local requirements is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar technical software is an added advantage.
• Willing to travel to solar project sites and work in an outdoor/site-based environment when required.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and respond to maintenance or troubleshooting requirements when necessary.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
