Responsibilities

About the Role

Sysmex is seeking a Laboratory Informatics Specialist to support the implementation and enhancement of laboratory information systems (LIS) and middleware solutions in Singapore and support for Asia Pacific.

This role works closely with laboratories, distributors, application specialists, service engineers, and regional teams to deliver successful software implementations, system integrations, customer training, and technical support. The position is ideal for candidates with laboratory, biomedical engineering, diagnostics, or healthcare technology experience who are interested in healthcare informatics and digital laboratory solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of laboratory information systems (LIS) and middleware solutions.
  • Work closely with customers to understand laboratory workflows and recommend suitable system solutions.
  • Perform system integration, interface testing, and validation activities.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers and business partners.
  • Conduct user training and system demonstrations for laboratories and healthcare institutions.
  • Support software upgrades, preventive maintenance, and system optimization activities.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and distributors on project implementation and customer support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project records.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in:Clinical laboratories,Laboratory diagnostics,Biomedical engineering,Laboratory informatics, orHealthcare technology environments.
  • Understanding of laboratory workflow and operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and conducting training sessions.
  • Experience with LIS, middleware, laboratory automation, HL7 interfacing, or healthcare software solutions will be an advantage.

Additional Information

Regional travel required (approximately 10%-20% annually).

Participation in a 24/7 standby support roster is required. Standby duties will be shared and rotated among team members to provide after-hours support when necessary.
