Duties & Responsibilities

(Specific duties include but are not limited to)

1.       Splicing and terminating fiber optic cable

2.       Testing all fiber optic installations using OTDR, light meters and other related test equipment

3.       Installing fiber optic splice cases and termination cabinets, terminating fibers using ST and SC type and other connectors; splice and terminate locations

4.       Troubleshoot and perform maintenance to resolve signal problem

5.       Performing fiber locates using appropriate test equipment

6.       Cable management, labeling, tagging at MDF room

7.       To ensure that the networking receive the optimum performance

8.       Notify Project Manager of any problems, needs or concerns

9.       Ensure compliance with policy and procedure requirements from service provider 

10.   Follow Company safety procedures and rules and properly plan for the safety of the works

Requirements :

1. Candidate must possess at least SPM or Certificate / Diploma in electronics, fiber optic or telecommunication technology

2. Relevant working experience in the related field will be an added advantage

3. Possess own transportation

4. Willing to travel outstation for 1-2 weeks, for project in Johor Bahru, Kuantan, and other states.

5. Willing to work on-site and overtime when necessary

6. Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently

7. Good teamwork and communication skills
