Job Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain critical HVAC and mechanical cooling systems within the data center.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor the performance of cooling systems through the Building Management System (BMS) and respond promptly to alarms and abnormalities.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot the chillers, cooling towers, computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units, computer room air handling (CRAH) units, air handling units (AHU), fan coils units (FCU), precision air conditioning systems, chilled water systems, pumps, valves, and piping systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure within data halls and critical facilities.
• Perform fault diagnosis and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime of mission-critical cooling infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, inspection checklists, and equipment logs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors during servicing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Participate in equipment testing, commissioning, integrated system testing (IST), and acceptance testing.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Method of Procedure (MOP), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP), and company safety requirements.
• Support emergency response activities and participate in on-call duty and shift work when required.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, permit-to-work (PTW) requirements, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
• Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and support PUE optimisation through proper operation of HVAC systems.
• Work closely with Electrical, Facilities, Operations, and IT teams to ensure uninterrupted operation of the data center.

Requirements:

• Diploma, Certificate, or Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Refrigeration, Building Services, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably in a data center, critical facility, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience with CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, AHUs, and precision cooling equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems, Building Management System (BMS), and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) facilities.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, permit-to-work systems, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in mission-critical facilities or hyperscale data centers.
