Responsibilities
1. Application Support & System Implementation
- Provide support for internal applications, systems, automation initiatives, and productivity tools.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support.
- Engage with business users to gather requirements, seeking clarification through discussion whenever a request is ambiguous, and provide technical support for solution delivery.
- Support technical integrations between internal applications, external platforms, and third-party services (e.g., APIs, messaging, or e-commerce platforms).
- Identify opportunities to enhance work processes through technology, automation, and AI tools.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and project records as required.
2. Software Development, Database & Deployment
- Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance internal software applications, including bug fixes, updates, and performance improvements, writing clean and maintainable code in accordance with object-oriented programming principles.
- Ensure application logic aligns with actual business processes, flag potential risks prior to implementation, and gather requirements as comprehensively as possible to minimize rework and ensure changes deliver a consistently positive impact on existing processes and functions.
- Work with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent) for queries, stored procedures, and troubleshooting, applying changes in accordance with established practices, including proper scripting and change documentation.
- Manage source code through version control and verify published files and database connections within a controlled environment prior to and following each deployment.
3. Planning, Delivery & Project Coordination
- Deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines, monitor in-progress and incoming work, and plan development activity across multiple systems and projects according to priority.
- Release staging within the forecast timeline, utilize the user-testing buffer period productively for other tasks, and maintain up-to-date progress records in task tracking tools (e.g., Jira or equivalent).
- Take ownership of light project coordination duties, such as setting timelines, tracking deliverables, and following up with stakeholders.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with outsourced developers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery, translating gathered requirements into clear technical specifications for implementation.
- Respond to any user or colleague who raises a query; even if an immediate answer is not available, a response must still be provided.
- Escalate technical risks, delays, or issues as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. All experience levels are welcome to apply, provided the candidate shows a positive attitude, strong willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering results.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and relational database management system (e.g., C#, Java, PHP, Python, MSSQL, MySQL, or equivalent), with flexibility to adopt the company's required tech stack; practical project experience and exposure to Flutter are a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and task tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar).
- Comfortable engaging with users and stakeholders, capable of handling light project coordination, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, and a genuine readiness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, including AI and automation.
