Calibration Engineer — Orchid Calibration Pte. Ltd.

Orchid Calibration Pte. Ltd. provides calibration and testing services across marine, aerospace, pharmaceutical, process and food industries. We seek a Calibration Engineer to perform calibration and develop new calibration scopes in temperature, flow and dimensional measurement, including establishing and expanding our Dimensional Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory and onsite calibration of pressure, temperature, flow, electrical and dimensional instruments.
• Develop new calibration capabilities for temperature instruments, liquid flowmeters, air velocity instruments and dimensional measuring equipment.
• Support the setup of the Dimensional Laboratory, including reference equipment selection, environmental requirements and calibration arrangements.
• Develop and validate calibration methods, SOPs, uncertainty budgets and proposed Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs).
• Assess instrument ranges, resolution, accuracy and traceability requirements.
• Support ISO/IEC 17025 scope extensions, technical assessments and proficiency testing or interlaboratory comparisons.
• Prepare calibration certificates, train technicians and maintain technical and quality records.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Practical experience in calibration, with a strong background in temperature, flow or dimensional measurement.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, measurement uncertainty, metrological traceability and method validation.
• Experience developing new calibration scopes or setting up a calibration laboratory is highly preferred.
• Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to carry out laboratory, onsite and onboard work.
