What this job involves:

As the Hard Service Lead, you will be responsible for planning and executing strategies for Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and Minor Maintenance Projects, ensuring all activities are completed within KPIs and in a timely manner. You will supervise all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) activities, leading both our internal engineering team and external vendor groups to manage tactical delivery on-site. In this role, you will serve as the key on-site point of contact for stakeholders and report directly to the Site Workplace Director.

You will lead, manage, and mentor a team of Engineers, Engineering Executives, Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs), and Technicians. By providing technical thought leadership, you will drive engineering excellence and actively participate in key technical discussions. Additionally, you will work closely with the client’s line managers to develop and implement mechanical, electrical, and technical field strategies on-site.

Your scope of responsibilities also includes managing the site M&E budget, inventory, contract services, material purchasing, and equipment/supplies. You will ensure workplace safety by participating in health and safety reviews, identifying potential risks, and supporting emergency evacuation procedures. As an expert in the field, you will remain flexible to take on other responsibilities to support both the engineering and facilities departments.

People Management

Client/Stakeholder Management

• Deliver excellent customer service to meet on-site client’s expectations.
• Build and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders &/or client and be
• comfortable working across all levels.
• Monitor procedures to ensure client’s expectations are conveyed and worked upon.
• Communicate effectively with clients/stakeholders.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Manage Hard Service/Projects multiple vendors including hard and soft skills to deliver
• services on time and within budget.
• Support vendor procurement processes in accordance with agreed client procurement
• guidelines as well as Jones Lang LaSalle procurement best practices.

Contracts Management

• Support to ensure that all contracts are professionally delivered at the right cost and in
• line with the Jones Lang LaSalle of Ethics.
• Support monitor expiry of contracts and initiate re-procurement if needed.
• Support continually assesses contracts to ensure best value delivered to the client.

Finance Management

• Support to ensure that the site’s financial operations are meeting targets and control
• requirements.
• Assist and monitor financial processes to ensure account payable procedures are always
• followed.

Health & Safety Management

• Support with the implementation and manage safety procedures to ensure the provision
• of a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards.

Site Operations Management

• Develop and implement maintenance regime and strategy.
• Implement Industry Best Practice operations
• Monitor to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are always
• maintained.
• Ensure all Critical Environment (CEM) requirements are met.
• Seek ways to reduce costs and improve operational standards.
• 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance are required.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity
• to meet and exceed business objectives.
  Effectively leverages the Operations and Field Area to solicit ideas and understand
• problems and challenges. 

Risk Management

• Assist in the implementation and management of a property risk management program.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of disaster recovering and business
• continuity plans.
• Follow established escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures.
• Adhere to Jones Lang LaSalle’s business conduct by ensuring compliance with the firm’s
• guidelines, procedures and strategies. 
• Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a hard services management or supervisory engineering role onsite.

• Candidate having a driving license class 3 is preferred.
