Based in Tokyo, Japan, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to join NES Fircroft and contribute to the growth of our business across the engineering, energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors!

Youll be responsible for developing client relationships, delivering exceptional recruitment solutions, and building a successful desk within one of Asias most dynamic and innovative markets. This role offers the autonomy to drive your own success while leveraging the support, global network, and established brand of a leading international workforce solutions provider.

What Youll Be Doing

• End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across permanent and contract positions, from sourcing and screening candidates through to offer management and placement.
• Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, market mapping, referrals, and proactive client engagement.
• Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted advisor on talent acquisition strategies and workforce planning.
• Candidate Engagement: Develop and manage a network of highly skilled professionals, providing career guidance and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, talent availability, salary benchmarks, and hiring activity within the Japanese market.
• Account Growth: Maximise opportunities within existing accounts while securing new partnerships through consultative and solution-focused discussions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Japan, Asia Pacific, and the wider global business to deliver outstanding recruitment outcomes.

What Were Looking For

• Recruitment Experience: Demonstrated experience in agency recruitment, ideally at a Senior Recruitment Consultant level or above.
• Business Development Capability: Proven success in developing client relationships, generating new business, and growing recruitment revenues.
• Relationship Management: Strong ability to build credibility and establish long-term partnerships with clients and candidates.
• Commercial Acumen: Results-oriented with a strong understanding of recruitment metrics, market dynamics, and business growth strategies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at all organisational levels.
• Market Knowledge: Experience recruiting within engineering, energy, infrastructure, technology, or other technical sectors is highly advantageous.
• Organisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritise effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Language Skills: Professional English communication skills are essential. Japanese language capability would be highly regarded.
