Responsibilities

Showroom Sales & Customer Experience

• Greet and advise walk-in customers, listen to needs and match products that balance function and style.
• Demonstrate product features and recommend complementary lighting or sanitaryware to increase average order value.
• Prepare clear quotations and follow up on leads via phone, WhatsApp and email to convert interest into sales.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions and maintain tidy product displays to keep the showroom inviting.

Order, Stock & Delivery Coordination

• Process sales orders, confirm delivery schedules and coordinate with warehouse or suppliers for timely dispatch.
• Perform basic stock checks, flag low inventory and assist with incoming goods verification.
• Record deliveries and handle simple returns or exchanges according to company policy.
• Keep accurate sales and stock notes in the CRM or Excel so the team can track trends.

Business Development & Reporting

• Follow up on contractor and trade enquiries and build relationships that generate repeat projects.
• Help plan small in-store promotions or window displays to spotlight new ranges.
• Provide weekly sales updates and customer feedback to help the team refine product choices and pricing.
• Attend occasional supplier meetings to stay current on product specs and lead times.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, ideally with exposure to sanitaryware, lighting or related light industry products.
• Experience handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations and closing in-store sales.
• Comfortable working in a small team in a retail showroom environment with occasional weekend shifts.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Strong product knowledge of sanitaryware and lighting or willingness to learn quickly from suppliers and specs.
• Familiarity with POS systems, basic CRM entry, and spreadsheet use for simple sales tracking.
• Basic understanding of delivery coordination and simple stock control processes.
• Good command of phone and WhatsApp for customer communication and follow-ups.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Customer-focused attitude with clear spoken communication and active listening.
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise multiple customer requests during busy periods.
• Proactive in learning product details and confident explaining technical features in plain language.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to showroom visitors, guiding them through our range of sanitaryware, lighting, and home living solutions.
• Understand customer requirements and provide tailored product recommendations to close sales effectively.
• Generate and follow up on sales quotations, inquiries, and orders.
• Maintain showroom visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, interior designers, contractors, and walk-in clients.
• Drive team targets, lead high-value deal negotiations, and mentor junior sales staff (for Senior/Assistant Manager roles).

About you

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• For Assistant Sales Manager: Minimum 5 years of relevant sales and trade experience, proven leadership abilities with experience in team management and mentorship, strong track record of closing high-value sales deals and achieving team targets.
• For Senior Sales Executive: Minimum 2 years of relevant indoor/retail sales experience, strong product knowledge, customer handling, and sales closing skills.
• For Junior Sales Executive: Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates with a strong passion for sales, highly motivated with a proactive learning attitude.
• Prior sales experience in Sanitaryware, Lighting, Kitchen Appliances, or Home Improvement/Construction materials is an added advantage.
