Job description:
We are looking for a reliable and meticulous Inventory Controller to manage raw materials, packaging, trading and finished goods inventory in a food manufacturing environment. The candidate must be experienced in SQL Accounting- Inventory and understand the importance of stock accuracy, traceability, and compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, trading and finished goods using SQL Accounting system
- Perform daily stock updates and monitor stock movement in the system (GRN, DO, stock issue, stock return, DN & CN).
- Ensure all inventory transactions (production usage, stock transfers, wastage) are properly recorded.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly and annual physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track expiry dates, lot/batch numbers, and ensure FIFO/FEFO is followed.
- Monitor slow-moving or near-expiry stock and alert relevant departments.
- Liaise with warehouse, production, QC, and procurement to ensure stock integrity
- To ensure all required documentation have been maintained well
- Generate inventory reports ( usage summary, aging, etc.) for management.
- Support internal/external audits related to inventory.
- To be responsible for investigating stock differences/discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g. GMP,HACCP/FSSC22000).
- To perform other responsibilities assigned by superior or management
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
- 2+ years experience in inventory control.
- Proficient in SQL Accounting software (mandatory).
- Familiar with food safety practices, batch tracking, and traceability.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate across departments.
- Knowledge of GMP/HACCP/FSSC22000 is an added advantage.
