Responsibilities
Job Overview
We are looking for a hands-on
Finance & Accounting Executive
to independently manage the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of a trading company in Singapore. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Singapore accounting practices, tax filing requirements, and relevant government systems, and be able to independently manage the full monthly accounting cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage the company's
full set of accounts
, including bookkeeping, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts.
Handle
GST, corporate tax and other statutory tax filings
in accordance with Singapore requirements.
Manage submissions through relevant
Singapore government and regulatory platforms
.
Support payroll and HR-related administrative processes and statutory submissions.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and supporting documentation.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, tax agents, banks, and relevant government authorities when required.
Monitor filing deadlines and ensure timely compliance with Singapore tax and regulatory requirements.
Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, payments, and other finance-related matters.
Support other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
.
Minimum
2 years of independent accounting experience
, preferably within a
trading, commercial, or SME environment
.
Strong knowledge of
Singapore accounting and tax requirements
.
Hands-on experience with Singapore tax filing systems, HR/payroll systems, and relevant government portals.
Able to independently handle the
full monthly accounting cycle
, from bookkeeping and reconciliation to month-end closing and tax filing.
Proficient in accounting software such as
Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP/accounting systems
.
Detail-oriented, organised, and highly responsible.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
Experience handling
multiple entities or cross-border transactions
.
Experience working with overseas subsidiaries or international trading companies.
Familiarity with
GST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and cross-border transactions
.
