About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead the technical design, analysis, and successful completion of diverse building and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will oversee projects from initial concept through construction completion, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and full compliance with building codes. You will serve as a technical expert, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineering staff.

The Opportunities

• Undertake structural engineering design from conceptual to detailed analysis and design in order to meet project requirements and client expectations;
• Good knowledge of analysis sequence and effective structural configuration for foundation and framing based on project requirements;
• Perform structural calculations, prepare and review structural drawings and reports ensuring alignment with project specifications and ensure projects are delivered on time and within client's budget;
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers and drafting personnel to build team capability;
• Manage on-site engineering quality through regular inspections and design reviews, attending project meetings, providing direct supervision to the site clerk/ inspector of works while troubleshooting and closing out field RFIs efficiently;
• Effectively manage the time, quality and performance of assigned tasks;
• Manage project correspondences and client relations, maintaining clear communication and ensuring project success.

Do you fit the role?

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in an engineering consulting firm.
• Demonstrated experience in a diverse range of projects, including low and high-rise buildings, industrial buildings;
• British/Malaysian Codes and Practices, knowledge of Eurocodes and BIM Standard is an added advantage;
• Proficiency in using CAD and other structural softwares such as STAADPro, ETABS/TSD, Tedds, ProStructure/Orion etc.;
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with a keen ability to meet deadlines and work independently;
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a desire to take on new challenges and excel in a dynamic environment;
