Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing devices while ensuring optimal performance of test equipment. This role provides technical support and guidance to Authorized Service Centres across the Asia-Pacific region and ensures all repair activities comply with workplace safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently troubleshoot electronic and electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty devices or systems
Troubleshoot electronic and electrical malfunctions
Replace or repair defective components and parts
Support and oversee repair activities by reviewing, guiding, and processing repair jobs from all Authorized Service Centres
Ensure proper operation and calibration of all test equipment and systems
Perform rework activities as required and instructed by the Business Unit
Read and interpret product service manuals, service bulletins, schematics, and diagrams
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities
Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times
Communicate repair status, technical findings, and recommendations to supervisors or customers
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including tools and equipment
Qualifications:
Minimum diploma or equivalent qualification
Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar technical role
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools
Basic to intermediate understanding of electronic and electrical systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment
