Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day maintenance activities and ensure mechanical, electrical, ELV, HVAC, fire protection, and building systems remain operational and reliable.

· Act as the key interface between the Operations/Maintenance team and Construction/Project team for project handover, outstanding works, and defects.

· Lead and coordinate post-project defect and DLP follow-up, ensuring defects are properly recorded, assigned, tracked, rectified, tested, and formally closed.

· Work closely with Project Managers, Construction teams, consultants, subcontractors, and OEMs to resolve technical defects and outstanding project issues.

· Manage and monitor subcontractors and OEMs, including service performance, response time, rectification quality, technical recommendations, and contractual obligations.

· Review defect reports, inspection findings, commissioning records, and testing results to identify recurring or unresolved issues.

· Coordinate site access, permits, isolation requirements, testing, and rectification activities to ensure works are completed safely without impacting critical operations.

· Verify completed rectification works and ensure appropriate testing, documentation, and acceptance are completed before defect closure.

· Maintain a comprehensive Defect / DLP Tracker and provide regular status updates, aging reports, and escalation of overdue critical defects to management.

· Support the transition of newly completed projects from the Construction/Project team into Operations, ensuring all required as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, warranties, asset registers, and maintenance requirements are properly handed over.

· Review equipment and system performance following project completion and identify deficiencies requiring further investigation or corrective action.

· Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and OEMs.

· Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved procedures, statutory requirements, safety standards, client requirements, and data center operational standards.

· Support incident investigation and root-cause analysis for equipment failures, recurring defects, and system performance issues.

· Monitor contractor and OEM performance against agreed SLA, KPI, response time, and maintenance requirements.

· Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, operational readiness, and lifecycle performance.

· Ensure all maintenance and defect-related documentation is properly maintained and available for audit and management review.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related engineering discipline.

· 3–5 years of relevant experience in data center, critical facilities, construction/project handover, facilities maintenance, or building services.

· Strong experience in defect management, DLP coordination, project handover, and contractor/OEM management.

· Experience working with Construction, Project, Engineering, Operations, subcontractors, consultants, and equipment OEMs.

· Good understanding of mechanical and electrical critical infrastructure, including HVAC, chilled water systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, fire protection, and related building systems.

· Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple outstanding defects and stakeholders simultaneously.

· Good communication and reporting skills, including preparation of defect trackers, progress reports, technical updates, and management reports.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Strong safety awareness and understanding of work permits, isolation, testing, and commissioning requirements.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
