Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the operation and maintenance of mechanical and M&E systems within the facility.
  • Ensure mechanical systems and equipment operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for HVAC, pumps, motors, ventilation and other mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Review maintenance schedules and ensure planned maintenance is completed within the required timeframe.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assess the condition and performance of mechanical equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors and service providers for maintenance, repair and improvement works.
  • Review technical reports, service reports and maintenance records.
  • Assist in planning and implementing improvement, replacement and upgrading works for mechanical systems.
  • Monitor contractors' work to ensure compliance with specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations and updates for management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements, safety standards and site procedures.
  • Support the Facilities Management team in managing day-to-day building operations.
  • Perform other engineering duties assigned by the Facilities Manager/Management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, M&E or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and building mechanical systems.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical/M&E drawings.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Strong leadership and ability to supervise technical teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory, safety and building requirements will be an advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
