Job Description

G-Tech Engineering Services Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient BIM Technician to support our engineering and construction projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating and maintaining Building Information Modelling (BIM) models and technical drawings, with a focus on electrical and building services works.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models and technical drawings for electrical and building services installations.
• Prepare and update shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings based on project requirements.
• Interpret electrical engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Identify and assist in resolving clashes and coordination issues between different building services.
• Assist engineers and project teams with BIM-related technical documentation and drawing requirements.
• Incorporate site changes and approved revisions into BIM models and drawings.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing records.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and extraction of information from BIM models where required.
• Ensure drawings and BIM models comply with project specifications and relevant Singapore standards.
• Coordinate with site personnel, engineers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure drawings accurately reflect site requirements.
• Carry out other BIM and technical drafting duties as assigned by the project team.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, BIM, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in BIM modelling, electrical drafting, MEP coordination or related engineering work.
• Good understanding of electrical engineering drawings and building services systems.
• Proficient in relevant BIM/CAD software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Navisworks or other BIM coordination software will be an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Able to coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in Singapore construction or engineering projects will be an advantage.

Education

Diploma  or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in BIM, electrical drafting, MEP coordination or related engineering work.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position
• 5.5-day working week
• Work may involve both office and project/site environments.
• Occasional site visits may be required.
