• Responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining insurance applications on mainframe platforms.
• Translate business requirements into system specifications and technical solutions.
• Handle batch/online processing, performance tuning, incident management and root cause analysis.
• Support application changes, releases, operational documentation and system enhancements.
• Drive mainframe modernization, including test automation, CI/CD, development tools and integration with modern platforms.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting and modernization.
• Ensure systems comply with security, regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, preferably in a mainframe environment.
• Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2 and VSAM; Assembler is an advantage.
• Experience integrating mainframe with modern/open-standard platforms.
• Financial/insurance industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Agile, Azure DevOps/Boards, GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Copilot.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
