Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Assist NFS Teachers during practical culinary lessons and guide students on food preparation and safety.
Prepare and portion ingredients, equipment and utensils before lessons.
Receive and check food deliveries and maintain proper stock records.
Maintain high standards of
food hygiene, kitchen safety, cleanliness and organisation
.
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances and resources.
Support students and teachers during lessons and perform other duties assigned by NFS Teachers.
Requirements
Minimum
PSLE
qualification.
Valid
WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate
.
At least
3 years’ relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a Secondary School
.
Basic culinary and mathematical skills.
Good English communication skills.
Independent, responsible and able to work well in a team.
Working Hours
Mon–Thu:
7:30am–3:30pm
Fri:
7:30am–12:30pm
No work on weekends and gazetted public holidays.
Occasional extended hours up to
6:30pm
may be required.
