Responsibilities
Summary
Leads HVAC engineering activities for marine and offshore Hull, LQ & E-house, ensuring technical integrity, vendor performance, and timely project delivery. Acts as discipline focal point for assigned packages & calculation, ducting layout, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design, specification, and selection of HVAC equipment packages.
Lead HVAC heat load calculation, air flow calculation, ducting pressure loss calculation, ducting layout, etc.
Take ownership of critical packages (e.g., air conditioning unit, ventilation fans, air handling unit, provision refrigeration plant).
Review and approval of datasheets, specifications, engineering deliverables, vendor documents and deviations.
Lead technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications.
Act as technical authority during FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
Manage interfaces across disciplines and packages.
Perform advanced trouble shooting and root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC Engineering.
More than 10 years' experience (min. 5 years in FPSO/offshore projects).
Strong expertise in: ISO Standards | ASME Standards | Vibration, and reliability | IACS Class rule | IMO Regulations
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Makes key technical decisions within assigned scope.
Recognized as discipline specialist within project team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
