BD Agriculture (M) Hiring! Full Time Sourcing Procurement Engineer in Selangor - Ricebowl

Requirements:

•  Bachelor of Degree in Mechanical/Automation Engineering or its equivalent.
•  Minimum 3 years’ experience in sourcing activity involving sheet metal part, wire mesh product & plastic parts.
•  Strong analytical abilities, supply chain knowledge, excellent negotiation & effective communication skill in dealing within the supply chain is a must.
•  Able to work under pressure with least supervision, self-motivated, customer & result oriented minded.
•  Familiar in manufacturing of sheet metal part, wire mesh production, plastic injection & electrical control panel (enclosure) is an advantage.
•  Experience in sourcing of raw material (steel coil, wire rod, plastic resin), price & stock movement monitoring will have added advantages.
•  Experience in Sourcing role will have added advantages

Key Responsibilities

•  Responsible for part & component sourcing, selecting and managing suppliers to achieve competitive cost, quality and delivery performance.
•  Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the Company.
•  To monitor & administer the performance of supplier & communicating feedback to suppliers for improvement.
•  To identify any gaps and potential opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, innovation, or other value-add activities for each category
•  Secure and analyze market information to support purchasing decisions.
•  Perform feasibility study of localization projects.
•  Assist Engineering team on costing of new product development.
•  Work closely with Suppliers, Engineering team and technical department in new product development, qualification, transition and production trial run.
•  Perform part qualification on new sample from local suppliers, when required.
•  Adopt purchasing guideline from BDI.
•  Establish strategic relationship with key suppliers who are aligned to the company’s needs & nature of business.
•  Required to travel on a regular basis.
•  Undertake ad-hoc assignment as and when assign by the supervising manager.
