Job Description

The candidate will support the delivery of high-quality facilities management at the assigned Halls of Residence, contributing to the department's operational mission.


  • Facilities Maintenance and Operations — Coordinate all activities required to maintain and enhance the physical and functional integrity of residential facilities, including work authorisation, inspections, and emergency preparedness
  • Stakeholder Liaison — Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities-related issues requiring action or escalation in the Reporting Officer's absence
  • Contractor Coordination and Oversight — Supervise subcontractor works and ensure compliance with agreed scope, standards, and timelines
  • Budget Data Preparation — Source and collate data to support the annual budgeting process for repairs and improvement programmes
  • Issue Resolution and Management Escalation — Escalate critical issues for management decision, and manage the resolution of complaints and service requests
  • Ad Hoc Duties — Undertake other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Building Services, or in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in building or facilities management, with a hands-on approach to identifying and resolving facilities issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and technical specifications
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
