Responsibilities
LABORATORY FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN DESIGN LIMITED
Research Associate
(Ref. No.: AiDLab/P1.1/R097)
[Full-time appointment for 12 months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the ITF-funded R&D project "AI-Powered Interactive Marketing and Customer Engagement Solution" . The appointee will:
a) Conduct literature reviews and user research and translate findings into research and interaction requirements for AI-enabled design and interactive multimedia systems.
b) Design, implement and iteratively refine user interfaces, interaction flows and research prototypes for AI agents, generative-AI tools and interactive media applications.
c) Conduct prototype testing, usability evaluation and benchmarking, and analyse quantitative and qualitative findings to validate and improve the proposed solutions.
d) Document research methods and results and contribute to technical reports, demonstrations, publications, intellectual property and ITF project deliverables.
Qualifications
Applicants must have obtained a Master’s degree in a STEM-related discipline relevant to the project from a local university or a well-recognised non-local institution. Relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media Technology, Digital Media Technology, and Multimedia Technology.
Interdisciplinary qualifications whose titles include design, arts, media or entertainment must be supported by an official transcript and, where needed, course descriptions demonstrating substantive STEM content and direct project relevance.
Applicants should have hands-on experience in user research, UX/UI and interaction design, AI-enabled or interactive prototype development, usability testing and technical documentation. Experience with Python, generative AI, AI-agent workflows, VR/AR or HCI projects will be an advantage.
