Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes; preparing financial statements and management reports; and supporting audits and regulatory filings. The role involves monitoring expenses and revenues, ensuring accurate documentation, and complying with internal controls and local financial regulations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Labuan, Malaysia, working closely with finance, operations, and other teams to support sound financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• CA, ACCA full or part qualified with minimum 2 years' experience in similar positions.
• Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced skills in spreadsheets and financial modeling are beneficial.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and banking or financial services industry practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial information clearly.
• Ability to work on-site in Labuan, manage deadlines, and uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all financial matters.
