Lachmi Engineering & Trading Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated Audio-Visual Systems & Live Events Technician to support fixed AV installations and live-event productions. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys practical technical work, problem-solving and working in event environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install speakers, amplifiers, mixers, microphones, projectors, displays and related AV equipment.
Run, terminate, label and test audio, video, data and control cables.
Assist with system configuration, testing, commissioning and handover.
Diagnose equipment faults and carry out basic repairs and preventive maintenance.
Prepare, load, transport, set up and dismantle equipment for events.
Configure and operate live sound systems, including mixing consoles, microphones, stage monitors and playback equipment.
Conduct sound checks and monitor audio quality throughout events.
Record event audio and perform basic editing, mixing and file management when required.
Maintain equipment inventories and ensure all equipment is properly handled, stored and returned.
Follow workplace safety requirements and protect customer and company property.
Coordinate professionally with customers, performers, event organisers and other technicians.
Perform other AV installation and event-production duties assigned by the company.
Working Schedule
The position consists of
44 ordinary working hours per week
, scheduled according to the company’s installation projects, event bookings and operational requirements. Work may be scheduled on weekdays, weekends, evenings and public holidays. The employee must be prepared to work flexible hours and at different project or event locations. The detailed work roster and rest day will be arranged by the company.
Where additional working hours are required, overtime will be paid at the applicable rate.
Requirements
Strong interest in audio-visual technology and live-event production.
Responsible, punctual and able to follow technical and safety instructions.
Comfortable performing practical work, handling equipment and working at different locations.
Able to work independently and as part of a technical team.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Prior AV, electrical, electronics, sound or event-production experience is advantageous but not compulsory.
Physically able to carry and set up AV equipment safely.
A valid Singapore driving licence is advantageous.
Training
Structured on-the-job training will be provided for highly motivated candidates without prior industry experience. Training may cover AV cabling and installation, equipment configuration, sound-system setup, live mixing, fault diagnosis, equipment maintenance, digital audio workflows and workplace safety.
