Smart Education Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a passionate and responsible Part-Time English Tutor to join our growing education network.

The successful candidate will provide quality English lessons to students and help them improve their English language skills, confidence, communication, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing abilities.

This is a flexible, hourly-paid tutoring opportunity suitable for tutors who are looking for part-time or freelance teaching work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct English tuition classes for students according to their learning level.
• Prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Teach English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods according to individual student needs.
• Maintain a professional and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with students and parents when required.
• Follow the lesson schedule and attend classes punctually.
• Provide basic progress updates when requested.

Requirements

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
• Degree, diploma, teaching qualification or relevant academic background is an advantage.
• Able to teach students patiently and effectively.
• Responsible, punctual and professional.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable teaching students of different ages and learning levels.
• Able to commit to agreed teaching schedules.
• Malaysian candidates and qualified international candidates currently residing in Malaysia are welcome to apply.

Teaching Levels

Depending on your experience and subject knowledge, you may be assigned students from:

• Primary School
• Lower Secondary
• Upper Secondary
• IGCSE
• International School
• Other English language learners

Work Arrangement

• Part-Time / Freelance
• Online and/or Home Tuition opportunities
• Flexible teaching schedule
• Students assigned based on tutor availability, location and expertise
• Payment calculated per teaching hour

Compensation

Hourly Rate: RM 70 – RM 190 per hour For One to One Class

Hourly Rate: RM 300 – RM 700 per hour For Group Class

The final hourly rate will depend on:

• Academic qualifications
• Teaching/tutoring experience
• Student level
• Curriculum/subject requirements
• Teaching location
• Online or physical classes
