Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Set up CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding, or other relevant equipment).
• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, or CAM software when required.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure quality and accuracy of finished products.
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Adjust machine settings and replace tooling as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate production records, including job setup sheets and inspection reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring tools, including:
• Analogue caliper (vernier caliper)
• Micrometer (inside, outside, depth)
• Dial indicators and gauges
• Proficiency in CNC machine operation (milling, turning, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code/M-code).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in CNC Machinist, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360).
• Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 or other quality management systems.

Working Conditions

• Workshop/Factory environment with exposure to machinery noise.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
• May involve standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
