We are currently hiring for a Multi-Role Infrastructure Support Engineer to support onsite IT infrastructure operations at our customer location in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Position: Multi-Role Infrastructure Support Engineer

Job Details

• Location: Shah Alam, Malaysia
• Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Office Hours)
• Work Mode: Customer will advise
• Contract Type: Renewable Contract
• Eligibility: Malaysian citizens or candidates legally authorized to work in Malaysia
• Shift: No shift work
• Allowances: As per Malaysia HR Policy

The role will be responsible for Onsite Helpdesk, Network, and Server Operations, covering day-to-day IT support, basic troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance, and providing smart-hands support to L2/L3 teams for local changes and projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-User Support & IMAC / Lifecycle Management

• Provide first-line onsite support for Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, printers, and meeting room devices.
• Handle employee onboarding, role changes, offboarding, and IT asset recovery processes.
• Support onsite maintenance and troubleshooting of meeting room equipment, industrial printers, and related IT devices.

2. Network Operations & Architecture

• Perform basic configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of LAN/WLAN environments, including IT and OT networks.
• Coordinate with local telecom providers to maintain WAN connectivity.
• Support network security operations, including basic administration of firewall policies, NAT, IDS, and related security controls.

3. Server Operations – Key Requirement

• Perform routine administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
• Handle server patch management and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage local storage and backup systems.

4. Third-Party Coordination

• Coordinate and track service requests with telecom providers, technology vendors, and facility management teams.
• Follow up on incidents and service requests through to full resolution.

5. Global Collaboration

• Work closely with Global Service teams in Hong Kong and China.
• Provide onsite smart-hands support for infrastructure changes, implementations, and projects.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
