Quantity Surveyor cum Project Coordinator

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor cum Project Coordinator to manage project costing, claims, contract documentation and daily coordination between clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and our site team.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Cost Control

• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, tender documents and bills of quantities
• Take off quantities from drawings and project specifications
• Source quotations and evaluate prices from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Verify subcontractor and supplier claims
• Monitor project costs, budgets and profitability
• Track completed work and ensure all additional works are properly documented and claimed
• Maintain complete records of quotations, purchase orders, invoices and project costs

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist with project planning, work schedules and material arrangements
• Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding site matters
• Attend site meetings and prepare meeting minutes or progress updates when required
• Assist with the preparation of work orders, method statements, material submissions and project reports
• Arrange site access, work permits, inspections and other project requirements
• Ensure project documents, job sheets and supporting records are properly completed and filed
• Support the project team in ensuring works are completed on time and according to requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction project coordination is preferred
• Able to read construction drawings and perform quantity take-offs
• Familiar with quotations, progress claims, variation orders and final accounts
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other relevant software
• Good communication, organisation and follow-up skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects or tasks
• Willing to visit project sites when required
• Candidates with experience in building maintenance, renovation or A&A works will have an advantage
