The incumbent will be working as a Senior Developer in an onsite support and solution design role for new requirements within the bank who is our customer. The position involves implementation, maintenance, and production support in alignment with the bank’s standards and guidelines. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE and Oracle, with additional value for proficiency in Spring, Shell scripting and banking domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and batch job failures within SLA timelines.
• Coordinate with business users, product processors, offshore teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless issue resolution and system stability.
• Engage with multi-country business users for requirement gathering, analysis, and implementation of enhancements.
• Perform monitoring and preventive maintenance activities to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high system uptime.
• Manage WebSphere application deployments, including release and migration activities.
• Perform DR/COB activities, ensuring functional validation in DR environments.
• Create and modify TWS and AutoSys batch jobs as required.
• Support multiple environments (EODs, App Server/Web Server, Databases) and ensure performance tuning, debugging, and optimization.
• Ensure continuous coordination between onsite and offshore teams for quick turnaround and SLA compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Java-based projects, with hands-on experience in transaction management, production release, and support.
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, EJB, Servlets, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot, JSON, and Oracle (12c/19c).
• Proficient in PL/SQL debugging, writing complex queries, and performance tuning.
• Experience with WebSphere/Web Server administration (clusters, load balancers, etc.).
• Ability to analyze issues both technically (Java/Oracle) and functionally (Banking domain).
• Strong domain knowledge in Banking Products — especially Collateral, Limits and Peripheral applications.
• Experience with Intellect Design Suite Products will be an added advantage.
• Ability to handle multiple environments and coordinate effectively across teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with multi-country users and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Shell scripting, performance monitoring tools, and process automation.
• Experience in DevOps deployment and migration activities.
• Knowledge of cloud or containerized environments is a plus.
