Responsibilities
Overview:
The ID Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all interior design and fit-out works at the construction site to ensure that the works are executed in accordance with approved interior design drawings, specifications, materials, quality standards, and project requirements. The role works closely with the Interior Designer, Architect, Project Manager, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely completion of interior works.
Main Scope of Works
1. Interior Design & Drawing Coordination
· Coordinate and review interior design drawings, layouts, details, finishes, and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements.
· Coordinate with Interior Designers, Architects, consultants, and contractors on design requirements and technical details.
· Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions for coordination purposes.
· Identify discrepancies or design conflicts and coordinate with relevant parties for clarification and resolution.
· Ensure the latest approved drawings and documents are properly circulated and implemented on site.
2. Site Coordination & Supervision
· Monitor and coordinate daily interior design and fit-out activities at the construction site.
· Ensure interior works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
· Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, M&E, and other site teams to ensure proper integration of interior works.
· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, installation, and overall progress.
· Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and relevant project teams.
3. Material, Finishes & Quality Control
· Coordinate the submission, review, approval, and procurement of interior finishes, fixtures, fittings, furniture, and other ID-related materials.
· Monitor material samples, mock-ups, finishes, and installation methods to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
· Ensure materials installed on site match the approved samples, drawings, and specifications.
· Monitor workmanship and identify defects, discrepancies, or non-conformance issues.
· Coordinate rectification works and ensure outstanding defects are properly closed.
4. Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination
· Coordinate closely with ID contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
· Attend site meetings, technical coordination meetings, progress meetings, and inspections related to interior works.
· Follow up with contractors on work progress, material submissions, shop drawings, site issues, and outstanding works.
· Coordinate with M&E, architectural, structural, and other disciplines to resolve interface issues.
· Liaise with the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders to ensure ID works remain on schedule.
5. Progress Monitoring, Documentation & Handover
· Monitor interior works against the approved project schedule and highlight potential delays or issues.
· Prepare and maintain progress reports, inspection records, site reports, material submission records, and other ID-related documentation.
· Track outstanding drawings, material approvals, RFIs, site instructions, and technical issues.
· Assist in the preparation and monitoring of snagging and defect lists.
· Coordinate final inspection, rectification, testing, and completion of interior works prior to handover.
· Assist in compiling as-built drawings, warranties, operation manuals, and other handover documentation.
Job Requirements
1. Educations
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2. Experiences
· Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior design coordination, site coordination, or construction.
· Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, or mixed-development projects is preferred.
· Experience coordinating ID contractors, consultants, suppliers, and multidisciplinary site teams.
· Good understanding of interior finishes, materials, construction methods, and fit-out works.
· Experience working in a construction site environment is highly preferred.
3. Soft skills

5. Certifications
· CIDB Green Card is preferred.
· AutoCAD proficiency is required.
· Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other relevant design software is an added advantage.
· Certification in Interior Design, Construction Management, or related disciplines is an advantage.
· Occupational Safety and Health-related certification is an added advantage.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
