Title: Senior Accountant

Corporate Description: An independent trading company in the cement industry, with over 20 years of experience and a fully independent approach to all markets.

Key Responsibilities

•  Manage end-to-end trade accounting across physical transactions, including trade capture verification, margin estimate, cost accruals and actual profitability. 
•  Manage full spectrum of accounting functions for Singapore entities, prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual report (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and conduct variance and performance analysis.
•  Prepare profitability reporting analytics of physical transactions, including product, customer and region for management review.    
•  Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balances and transactions, AR/AP process and perform reconciliation.
•  Quarterly GST tax return and assist in preparation of corporate tax.
•  Collaborate with Commercial, Operations and Treasury to ensure accurate transaction data and resolve trade discrepancies.
•  Partner with auditor, tax agent and external stakeholders on statutory reporting and regulatory matters.

Candidate Profile:

•  A recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. 
•  3-5 years of relevant working experience in FP&A or Accounting. 
•  Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query and macros.
•  Proficient in spoken & written English.
•  Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
•  Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently to meet tight deadlines. 
•  Knowledge of the international bulk trading environment would be an advantage.
