Private Bank Wealth Planner
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wealth Planner to support relationship managers and clients in developing and implementing wealth planning solutions, with a focus on insurance, trusts and succession planning.
The role combines client-facing wealth planning advisory with product/platform management, business development and internal training.
Key Responsibilities
Wealth Planning & Advisory
- Support Relationship Managers and clients on wealth planning and succession planning solutions.
- Advise on appropriate insurance and trust structures and facilitate referrals to external providers and trustees.
- Liaise with trustees, insurance brokers, relationship managers and clients to execute wealth planning solutions.
- Stay abreast of relevant legal, regulatory, tax and economic developments across key jurisdictions.
- Support wealth planning sales targets and new business initiatives.
- Apply sound commercial judgement when assessing client needs and structuring solutions.
Platform & Process Management
- Manage due diligence and approval processes for external vendors and service providers.
- Manage insurance company limits, exposure tracking and related approval processes.
- Oversee trust referral records and insurance premium financing applications.
- Ensure adherence to relevant wealth management policies, guidelines and governance requirements.
- Work closely with Credit and Relationship Management teams on premium financing facilities.
- Support management reporting on revenue, pipeline and transactions.
Product Training & Business Support
- Keep Relationship Managers and relevant teams updated on wealth planning, insurance and trust solutions.
- Deliver wealth planning product training to Relationship Managers and other team members.
- Support the broader team in identifying opportunities to incorporate wealth planning solutions into client relationships.
- Key RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in Wealth Planning, Trust, Insurance or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of wealth structuring, succession planning, insurance and trusts.
- Good knowledge of legal and regulatory considerations affecting clients across different jurisdictions.
- Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in sales, business development or client-facing advisory, with sound commercial judgement.
- Established network with external intermediaries, insurance brokers, trustees and/or professional advisors.
- CACS certification is required.
