Main Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching & Preparation
Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials/workshops and laboratory sessions
Monitor student progress through the application of assessment strategies
Contribute to the development of intellectual property for the School.
Exam QA & Moderation
Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examination.
Review and ensure the quality of examination papers under area(s) of specialisation.
Conduct objective assessments on examination appeal cases
Lecturer Management
Assist in the management and development of academics.
Review assignment of teaching assignments.
Conduct classroom observation as required
Student Management
Engage in student development by providing strong learning support and monitoring of students’ academic performance in life science.
Advise students with respect to academic performance, career opportunities.
Curriculum Management & Development
Contribute to the review, design and development of related programmes and modules to ensure continued relevance and quality improvement of curricula.
Develop course materials for new modules as required.
Prepare course/ module review reports of internal and external programmes.
New programme development preliminary module mapping tasks.
Others
Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company from time to time.
Job Requirements
PhD in Life Science or equivalent. At least a pass at GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent in the language medium of the programme/module.
Require more than a year of work experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
Strong oral and writing skills
Willing to work shift hours (e.g. late evenings and weekends)
