Responsibilities

Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Technician with strong software and automation skills to support industrial automation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for PLC and robot programming, machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and providing technical support at customer sites. This role is primarily on-site and requires flexibility to travel for local outstation and overseas assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, test, and commission PLC programs.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC systems including Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, and Allen-Bradley (AB).
  • Develop and modify industrial robot programs for automation applications.
  • Perform machine commissioning, startup, testing, and factory/site acceptance support.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, robot, and industrial communication systems.
  • Work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Prepare technical documentation, backups, and commissioning reports.
  • Provide on-site technical support, training, and after-sales service when required.
  • Travel locally and overseas to support installations and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
  • Strong software and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley).
  • Knowledge of industrial robots is an advantage.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
  • Willing to work on-site and travel for project assignments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
