We’re looking for a Senior Microsoft Security Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’ll be part of our Services Delivery Team, responsible for architecting, designing, delivering, and implementing Microsoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinel is optional). This is a senior delivery and implementation role — you will lead security solution design, drive migrations, and mentor engineers.

We’re looking for a Senior Microsoft Security Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’ll be part of our Services Delivery Team, responsible for architecting, designing, delivering, and implementing Microsoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinel is optional). This is a senior delivery and implementation role — you will lead security solution design, drive migrations, and mentor engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Solution Sales, Project Managers, and customers to understand business and compliance requirements and translate them into secure technical designs.
- Architect, design, and deploy Microsoft Defender solutions — Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Design and implement data protection and compliance with Microsoft Purview — Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection / sensitivity labels, Insider Risk, and retention.
- Implement identity and access security with Microsoft Entra ID — Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection.
- Design and deploy Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) where required (optional focus).
- Lead and deliver migrations from other/third-party security solutions to Microsoft — e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint DLP, and third-party SIEMs — into Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
- Participate in tenders and bids to provide technical security solutions, effort estimation, and scoping.
- Deliver Proof-of-Concept (POC) engagements to demonstrate the value of the security products and services.
- Produce security architecture documentation, HLD/LLD, and configuration/admin guides.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to security engineers.
- Proven hands-on implementation and deployment experience delivering Microsoft security solutions in production (5+ years).
- Implementation-focused — Deep hands-on experience deploying and implementing Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).
- Strong experience implementing Microsoft Purview — DLP, Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management with Entra ID and Conditional Access.
- Proven experience delivering migrations from other security solutions to Microsoft (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint, third-party SIEMs).
- Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloud security concepts.
- PowerShell scripting for automation and bulk operations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- English — able to read technical documentation and to speak and present confidently to customers (verbal communication is required).
- Modern Workplace skills — Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, and Autopilot.
- Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) design and deployment experience.
- AI and Microsoft Copilot Studio skills — experience building or deploying Copilot agents is a plus.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-400, SC-300).
- Working time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (work in office, Kuala Lumpur)
